why accidents do happen

I always wonder why we do not think to reduce accidents. We are very keen to read breaking news as log as any accident is on news channel. We only worry when it involves ourfamily do we start thinking we should not make mistakes. As a human being can't we stop mistakes which create accidents. I really need to find what we can do to stop accidents at construction sites on rad .
